All events are expected to abide by, and plan their cover levels on the 'purple guide'. We at EMS will always risk assess your event against the guide, as this is the standard expected by councils, police, ambulance & fire services.
We will always recommend an appropriate level of cover.
Below are some examples of the types of events for which we are trusted to provide our medical teams to:
Firework Displays & Bonfire Nights
Parades,Pride & LBGT Events
Food & Drink Festivals
Music & Dance Festivals
Christmas Markets & Fairs
Sports & Charity Events
High-Risk Sporting Activities - including motorcross
Funfairs
Cycling & Running Events - including 'on road'
EMS are proud to be involved in providing the medical provision for the ESF football festivals - the UK's largest youth football festival, held at several Butlins locations.
We provide a comprehensive service, from practitioner led medical teams, to a double paramedic crew on a vehicle able to respond to incidents - 22 staff on at one time.
We see over 200 patients in a weekend - treating and discharging back to the event over 97%. Those who are referred on, are safety netted and given appropriate advice, and sign posted to where they should go next.
Having actual NHS ambulance staff means we know the local pathways to ensure treatments are prompt and appropriate. Almost all of the people attending the event are not local, so having a team with local knowledge of the services is vital.
FLEXIBLE & PROFESSIONAL
“The team at EMS provided us with professional medical cover, including vehicles and paramedics at every corner. Nothing was too much trouble. ”
